I got there in the late morning thirsty and hungry. The only bar visible in the area. For a couple of minutes I was the lonely guest with the barista, who was kind in giving good advice for the way ahead to me. His cappuccino-making skills: fast and furious... the coffee in it very strong to my taste. Then the selection pastries in the display counter just mouth watering. I chose one with a cherry creme and thought taking another with me for later but when I left the bar they were sold out. The toilet was clean. I wish the barista all the best.

Had a fabulous meal here - it’s a great place to stop to refuel - excellent quality food and both of these guys couldn’t do enough to make sure we had everything we wanted. The meat selection board and the Caprese salad were excellent and we had a lovely bottle of wine to wash it down - only thing to note is that at the time we visited they accept cash only- so a quick visit to a cashpoint 10 mins away was needed. Would I eat there again? - Yes definitely. Would I recommend it to someone - Yes definitely. If you’re bothered about crystal glasses and linen tablecloths with hand carved tables and chairs this place isn’t for you but if you go to a cafe for the food - then drop in

Ate here after our tour of the catacombs and the food is wonderful! Casio e pepe, lasagna and bolognese are so yummy! The homemade apricot pie is wonderful too! One of our favorite lunches during our week-long trip to Rome!

Ok, the toilet was awful, but the pasta... One of the best foodie experiences in my life! Sauce was creamy, the amount of cheese just perfect! And the fact that the owner treated me and my husband with "ptasie mleczko" when he heard we're from Poland - We're waitning in Poland for annual Winobranie this september to welcome You as You welcomed us

We stopped for brunch and cappuccino while in Rome last week. I has carbonara, and it was wonderful, perfectly cooked pasta, just enough delicate sauce, and extra meat. The coffee was as good as any third wave coffee house, of which we tried both in Rome and enjoyed them also very much. I was so impressed that we started walking down the Via Apia Antica without my satchel, which had our passports! The owner came running after us with my satchel, and saved from a whole lot of inconvenience. Very highly recommend!!

We stopped here on a cold rainy day after riding the Appia antica, mostly just to grab a cuppa tea but we ended up sitting and having some lunch. The cacio e pepe was delicious, and everyone was wonderful friendly. It is in a busy street but we just embraced the quirkiness.

Visited today after a long bike ride on Via Appia Antica. I had the best linguini with bacon in the world. Maria was so nice and sweet to us. It felt like my mom cooked the meal for me. Highly recommending this place. They did not use plastic. Everything was served on glass places with regular utensils. We just LOVED IT because it felt homey and it was authentic.
